Narrative. What is Narrative?

To be honest, I hadn't given it much thought until right now. I suppose I always believed it was any story, piece of fiction, literary art, poetry, etc. I wouldn't have discounted web stories, or the cartoon stories in the Sunday newspaper if I had thought about them. Normally, I wouldn't have thought about them because I wasn't ever too interested in blogging or web literature. Since taking this class, I have expanded my horizons. Hence, I would say a narrative is any type of story (not just in the traditional sense of a story); anything (whether short or long) that has any form of narrating; any form of story-telling. That would be my definition.
